the shirtdress.

i might have a slight obsession with shirtdresses, or anything with a collar, for that matter (i'm realizing it's probably due to my love affair with romedies with pretty girls waking up in men's collared shirts) but this one, in particular, is one of those dresses that i keep hung outside of the closet because it makes me happy. i've worn it as a coverup and i've worn it with heels, sandals, jeans and cutoffs. the dress itself is sheer so you have to wear a slip (and this commando slip does the trick), but i love the lightness of the dress and my favorite part, it's like you're wearing the most airy, wonderful pajamas.

this one is from nordstrom last year, but i'm loving this from vince, this sweet collarless one on sale from freepeople or shopbop has these from alexander wang, paige, and oh! this rebecca minkoff is short and sassy and going on my gimmee list! i warned you, i'm obsessed with shirtdresses! last ones, but seriously, so many affordable ones on asos. shoes: pour la victoire belt: bcbg
